Rooted

Sometime ago I looked to Chloe (my daughter) and I realized that her new and beautiful pants were getting small.
She was growing too fast!

I grabbed my camera and I photographed her and her pants pattern.
I wished I could stop the time.

She is so beautiful, so inocent, so happy,
...there is so much of God inside her.

That day, I made the first image of Rooted.

I can't stop the time, but I can capture the moments I don't want to loose, things, people and places I don't want forget and that I want others to know, feel and see.

The last photo I made is the one of my mother - below.

The last years of my grandmother life were not easy. She had Alzheimer..
although these are not the years we remember the most.

Her laughing, her feet, her seriousness, her courage, the fighter and sweet woman she was, her pointing finger and her very sweet latte!

My mom kept the memories and one of her dresses, because it seems we need material things to remember, or a smell, a taste...

So here is a photo for you, mom, from what is rooted in you!
